Open: all year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Mon-Thurs 10.00 am - 5.00 pm. Saturday and Sunday 11.00 am - 5.00pm. Closed Fridays except Good Friday.

Admission charge: Yes, site pass or individual attraction tickets.

Visit Wigan Pier for an unforgettable day out. Be transported back to 1900 and take part in the everyday activities of a bygone age. Discover the joys and hardship of Victorian life- from a night out at the Music Hall to a grueling day at the coalface. Meet characters who will show you how the men and women worked in the mines and what a dirty and dangerous job it was. Equally terrifying in its own way, is your trip to the Victorian schoolroom - Wigan Pier's most popular attraction. Journey by waterbus along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, visit Trencherfield Mill. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the World's largest working mill steam engine.

Disabled access: Most of the site is accessible to wheelchair users. Visitors with special needs are invited to contact the site before their visit. Loop system installed. Audio tape available for visually impaired visitors.
