This is a fascinating insight into how our ancestors did their shopping 150 years ago and houses the original store of the Rochdale Pioneers containing documents, pictures and other material of British and international co-operative interest. Wardens give guided tours of the shop and ground floor exhibition area. The first floor houses collections of plates and packaging.

Admission charge: Yes, small admission charge.

Disabled access: Ground floor fully accessible. Staircase to first floor, but wardens will bring downstairs any specially requested item.

Notes to the guided tour are available on tape in three languages, French, German and Japanese.
